Veterans And Their Benefits...

I believe the Govt. should do more for our Veterans, I've read so
many articles on Vietnam vets and soldiers returning from Afghanistan,
Iraq and they really need help and monetary benefits, what's your opinion ?
Mine....They need all the help they can get. I salute them..

Benefits are promised upon enlistment and the recruit takes an oath.
If the Service men and women are held to their oath, what about the government holding to their word?

It is a disgrace to see veterans struggling to survive in a country they fought to defend. And when they become ill, some want to deny them healthcare. Have we sunk so low?

I agree ! I remember reading somewhere about riots after WW 1
where the vets were promised a pension and something happened,
